Well, that was a morbidly weird 40mn of my life....

I listen to the podcast Stuff You Should Know and I was getting back to an old episode I hadn’t listened to. It was about the Death Penalty, so I put it on for my drive home.

I pull into my driveway and I get a NY Times notification that Nebraska has abolished the Death Penalty... OK.... kinda coincidental

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I get inside, turn on the TV, and The Green Mile is playing; which is a movie about an inmate on death row

To make you feel better, I was just reading an article about how some state’s youngest death row inmate killed herself.

I don’t want to get into a debate on the pros and cons of the death penalty but I couldn’t help chuckling at the irony of Nebraska (questionably illegally, no FDA approval) importing lethal injection drugs while simultaneously banning the death penalty...
